Walking to the city center takes no longer than half an hour, passing through the Millionaires Quarter, the Citadelpark.. next to Museums, into the Student Area where the Abbey – the oldest building of the city – is standing. Then past the Booktower and a 100-year-old Music Hall, you have reached the very heart of Ghent with its three Towers and its Medieval Castle.
Public transportation to the city center takes 15 minutes.
A nice variety of restaurants within a walking distance.
From the Sint Pietersstation to Hotel Orion is about a 10 min walk. Turn right when you exit the main entrance. If you go under the first railway tunnel you will walk through the Millionaires Quarter Park with lovely houses from the 20′. The total distance is 900m
Tram nr 2 or 4 at the right side of the main entrance of the station: direction Zwijnaarde/UZ. Stop at Krijgslaan (3 stops): Hotel Orion is on the other side of the road partially covered by trees.

Coming from the Highway (E40 – E17) take the direction to Gent (E17) then the exit nr 9 UZ to Gent. Drive towards the city center and just after 2 roudabouts and 2 traffic lights turn left at the following junction: Hotel Orion is on your left.
If you are coming from the motorway exit Centrum, you will have to take N60 to Oudenaarde then pass by the museums in the Citadel Park, go under the railway bridge and Hotel Orion is again on your left.
